A Very Special Wednesday

Good Morning, WoodyWatchers! It's a beautiful day here in at our doghouse in Shepherdsville. In fact, Chloe and I just got back in from our morning walk. We chased a butterfly, barked at some birds, and even watched two ducks swim around our lake. We love all the seasons in Kentucky, but I must confess that I am not sad about putting away my coat for a while!

I wanted to tell you about a very special morning we had this past Wednesday. Our family spent the morning at Sonlight Preschool in Erlanger, KY. (Erlanger is in the northern part of our state, just in case you are wondering.) Anyway, we were at Sonlight to remember a very special friend of ours named Emily. Emily was a very beautiful and fun little girl who sadly left this world way, way too early. Chloe and I cried when we learned Emily was no longer with us. Mom assured us it was okay to cry. Even though we were sad, we smiled when Emily's family asked us to come to Emily's preschool and meet the kids in her class. As you can see from the photos, it was a great morning! We saw Emily's mother, her grandparents, her teachers, and all her friends. Everyone was so nice to us. They made us cards and letters and even presented us with some special gifts - like our very own picture of Emily. We will never forget the morning - and we certainly will never forget Emily.

It is always sad when we have to say goodbye to someone we love. That is why Mom and Dad are always telling us to give lots of hugs and kisses to everyone we care about so they will know how we feel. In fact, I am going to say goodbye for now and go give Chloe a great big puppy dog kiss! SMACK!

Have a great day! Enjoy the nice weather, give a hug and a kiss to a special friend, and Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!
