Yummies for our Tummies

Kentucky Greetings, WoodyWatchers! We hope this finds you having a great Sunday! We have had a great day! One of the things that made our day extra great is that we had a special snack. Everyone knows how much we love to eat! We'll eat anything, but you can't beat homeade biscuits! Our friends Ashley, Austin, and Cody made us some Doggie Peanut Butter Biscuits. DEEEE-LISH! We can't stop licking our lips. Dad even ate one - of course that was BEFORE he knew they were for pups! He even liked them!

Not only did Ashley, Austin, and Cody give us the biscuits, they gave us the recipe - so I thought I would pass it on to you in case you have a doggie in your house. Here you go:

Doggie Peanut Butter Biscuits

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
2 tbs. peanut butter
1/4 cup grated parm. cheese
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg white
1 tbs. chicken broth

Mix all the ingredients well. Drop 2" balls on to greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 F. for 15-20 minutes.

Make sure you have a grown up with you. Mom never lets Chloe and me in the kitchen without her or Dad. She says it is too dangerous! I think she is just scared we will eat everything in the kitchen!

Enjoy! Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

A Taping with KET

Kentucky Greetings, WoodyWatchers! Who knew television life could be so much fun? This past Wednesday, the nice folks from KET (Kentucky Educational Television) spent the entire day at our house in Shepherdsville. They were filming a segment that will be on Kentucky Life in early 2008. Chloe and I were thrilled they wanted us to be on the program. We invited some special folks to be a part of the taping like our illustrator (Mr. Asher), my handy-dandy assistant (Lynne), and a host of other friends. Since we had it at our lake, we decided to have a picnic. The food and ice-cold lemonade were DEE-LISH! Not only was it tasty, it kept our minds off the camera. You know how much Chloe worries about her hair when she is on television! (I must admit that I combed mine more than usual this past Wednesday morning! I made sure my teeth sparkled too!)

Frannie, our body guard and newest member of our family, was a huge help. She made sure we weren't swarmed by the media or attacked by crazy fans!

We will be sure to put lots of photos on the web. In fact, Mom sent them to Mr. Nathan this morning. We will also keep you posted on when the segment will air. In the meantime, here are a few photos to give you a taste.

I better say "Arff" for now! It is almost dinner time at the house. Dad said we could eat chicken from KFC. You know what they say about their chicken - it's PAW-licking good!

Have a great weekend! Don't forget to Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

Bath County!

Hey WoodyWatchers! You can tell it's summertime as I have been a lazy dog when it comes to writing in my diary. We love going to work, but we have enjoyed our summer schedule too. My flip-flops are worn out from all the playing we have done outside! It will soon be time to trade in the flip-flops for our school shoes!

Last week, we spent an evening in Bath County, KY. As it always is before we go to Bath County, Mom insists we actually TAKE a bath. So, Chloe and I, along with our rubber duckie, took a bath, combed our hair, and traveled to Bath County. It is always a treat to see our good friends in Owingsville.

I hear the ice cream truck coming down our street, so I will sign off for now. Dad said since we had already completed our chores, we could buy an ice-cold cherry PUP-scicle! YUMMY!

Have a great day! Wear your sunscreen and WORK and DREAM LIKE A BIG DOG!

You're a Grand Old Flag

Kentucky Greetings, WoodyWatchers! Chloe and I hope you had a fantastic Fourth of July! We love the 4th! It is one of our favorite holidays! We love looking at all the flags and the patriotic decorations! In fact, red, white, and blue are our favorite colors! Since we love the holiday so much, Mom and Dad took us on an outing. We drove around and looked at the flags and took lots of pictures. We even sang our favorite songs about America. My favorite is "Yankee Doodle." It makes me giggle every time I think about him sticking a feather in his cap! Chloe likes "America the Beautiful" and "God Bless the U.S.A." Everyone knows how much we love to sing! You should have heard us!

While looking at all the decorations, we noticed that lots of folks were having cook-outs. I don't know what they were cooking - we just hope it wasn't hot dogs! Speaking of food, Mom and Dad treated us to ice cream. Dee-lish! You just can't beat a scoop of vanilla in a tasty waffle cone!

On the way home, we were driving through a little town when I saw my name on the sign. It said, "Dogwood!" Isn't that cool? I had to get a photo!

I better say "Arff" for now. It is almost lunch time. My tummy is grumbling! I will bark at you later! In the meantime, "Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!"
