Goodbye May, Hello June!

Kentucky Greetings, WoodyWatchers! Hope you have had a super May and are ready for June. Chloe and I can't believe how fast the year is going by. Where does time go?

We have been super busy hot dogs lately, but have enjoyed every minute of it! Today we were at the Garrard County Public Library in Lancaster, KY. We always have a terrific time being with everyone in Lancaster. In fact, each year we make a visit to their library because we love them so much! It is always fun to see our friends and make new ones too!

The first picture is of me dressed up as a dog. The nice ladies at the library made these neat little masks for everyone who came today. They even gave me a mask. It was fun to dress up like a dog! Arff!

The second photo is of our new friends Rachel and Rebbeca. Can you tell they are twins? Can you tell which one is which? Me either!

As you can tell, today was very fun! Tomorrow we will be in Lee County. We will post some pictures and tell you all about it. In the meantime, stay cool in the hot weather, make sure you and your pets drink plenty of water, and as always, "Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!"

Pennies from Vine Grove

Arff, Arff, WoodyWatchers! I hope you are enjoying the warm weather wherever you are. Chloe and I love playing outside in the sunshine with Mom and Dad!

Sorry I didn't write in my diary much last week. We were gone almost all week long. The first part of the week started out in my birthplace of Paducah. We were with the students at Reidland Elementary. We left Reidland and traveled clear across the state to Ashland, where we spent two days in the school. We returned home around midnight on Friday. Chloe and I slept late on Saturday, trying to catch up on our sleep. We slept so late, that we almost missed Scooby Doo! We aren't used to staying up late. We are usually in the bed by 8:00, so midnight was strange!

Yesterday, was a treat for Chloe and me. We spent some time with Ms. Whelan's class at Vine Grove Elementary in Hardin County. The News Enterprise Newspaper in Hardin County held a penny drive to raise money. They wanted to collect money so they could keep delivering the newspapers to students in the schools. Well, Ms. Whelan's class was the class that collected the most pennies! Isn't that cool??? Chloe and I sure thought so. Anyway, to show our appreciation, we spent time with the class. I have included a few photos. The first is of Ms. Whelan with Mom, Chloe, and me. The second picture is of the entire class. They all gave Chloe and me lots of love and hugs. Chloe was so relaxed that she slept in class for a while. Finally she woke up, and then kissed most of the students! Anyway, as you can see, it was a terrific way to spend an afternoon!

Hip, Hip Hooray, Ms. Whelan's class! Hip, Hip Hooray! Thanks for all your hard work!

Well, I better run. Mommy says we have to finish our breakfast and pick up our toys. We are off today so Mom is going to take us to the library so we could check out some books! I am getting ready to get my library card out for the trip!

Have a great day! Remember to Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

A Reading Celebration

Greetings, WoodyWatchers! Hope you are having a super day! By the way, Happy Belated Mother's Day! Sorry we didn't blog on Mother's Day. We were busy making breakfast for our Mommy. It took Chloe and me all day to make it and all night to clean up the kitchen. Who knew cereal could be so tough???

This past Friday, the four of us had the pleasure of being a part of the 8th Annual Clay County Reading Celebration. We saw so many of our friends - including Jordan. We met Jordan several years ago when we were at a UK football game. In fact, Mommy found the first photo of us from a few years ago. Well, guess who was at the Reading Celebration? You guessed it! Jordan! If you look at the second picture, that is Jordan with us again. Hasn't she grown up? She was so pretty as a young girl, and still beautiful now! She had to tell us who she was. She had grown so much that we didn't even recognize her! It is always fun to see old friends - and meet new ones.

In fact, the third picture is of a new friend we met at the Reading Celebration. This young lady loved Chloe and me. She also loved our books. Aren't new friends great?

Well, I better go. Daddy is mowing the yard since it is our day off. Chloe and I are going to help him pick up sticks. I may have to put on my sweater. It is chilly today.

Have a great day. Stay warm, tell your Mommy you love her every day - not just Mother's Day, and Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

A day at Dewitt

"Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come Again Another Day!"

Hi WoodyWatchers! Chloe and I have been looking out the window, watching it rain. It has been pouring. Daddy said it was "raining cats and dogs", but Chloe and I haven't seen any fall out of the sky yet! We will keep you posted. Rainy days are nice though. It gives us a chance to catch up on our work indoors - as well as a nap!

We certainly needed a nap today since we arrived home late last night. We had been in Knox County at Dewitt Elementary. It was such an exciting day! Everyone was so friendly and very fun! The first picture is of us with Mrs. Smith and Ms. Lee. They arranged everything for us. It was easy to see they are terrific teachers. They love the kids and also fell in love with us!

The next picture is of Ms. Carnes. She and her class gave Chloe and me a little toy. We loved it. You all know how much I love toys! You can even see me licking my lips in the last picture, ready to play!

Tomorrow we will be in Greenup County. We can't wait to hop in the Woody Bus again and hit the road. As usual, I will keep you posted!

Have a great day. If you go outside, take an umbrella. Be sure to email me if you see any cats and dogs falling from the sky! Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

ARFF!

My new friend, Ernie!

Good Monday, WoodyWatchers! Hope you are having a super day! Mom, Dad, Chloe, and I are loading the Woody Bus to travel to DeWitt Elementary in Knox County. We are looking forward to meeting our new friends!

One of the things I packed first for the trip was Ernie. Ernie and I have been having a great time together. He is a gift from Mrs. Frye and her students at Pembroke Elementary in Christian County. When we were in their class a few months ago, I could hardly concentrate because they had an Ernie in their room. I kept wanting to play with him. Well, just last week I received a package in the mail and guess what it was? You got it! It was letters from Mrs. Frye's students and Ernie. I love carrying him around with me, and tucking him in every night to sleep with me. He has always been my very favorite from Sesame Street! Hugs and kisses to Mrs. Frye and her students for giving me Ernie!

I think I hear Mommy calling me, so I better say "so long for now!" Have a great day. Be sure to check the site in a few days so I can tell you all about DeWitt!

People in Pikeville Love Pepsi!

Hi Friends! Hope you have had a sun-shiny day at your house today. It was so beautiful here today. Chloe and I had some time to stretch our legs in the green grass. It was a nice day to be outside.

We just ate our supper. Mommy said that since we had worked hard today, we could stay up and watch the results of American Idol. Chloe and I love American Idol, but we hate it on Wednesday nights when someone has to leave the show. Chloe usually sheds a tear or two, but don't tell her I told you.

We had a great time in Pike County. Everytime we travel through Pike County, we always try to say the riddle "People in Pikeville Love Pepsi!" It is fun to try to say it fast. That is actually a fact. Pikeville holds a record for how much Pepsi Cola they drink each year!

Though we were in Pike County, we weren't in Pikeville, but were in a place called Ransom at Blackberry Elementary. Ransom was almost in West Virgina. The school actually set on the site of the original feud between the Hatfields and McCoys. It was a beautiful school with wonderful students, an excellent staff, and a neat principal. For lunch, Mom, Dad, Chloe and I ate pizza and cake with the top accelerated readers in the school. It was a treat - and that pizza was yummy! We included some pictures so you could see. Even though I just ate dinner, I would love another piece of that doglicious pizza and cake from yesterday!

Anyway, I better say goodnight for now. It is almost time for our show, then a bedtime story, then off to bed! Have a great night! Remember to Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

Good Tuesday Evening!

Good Tuesday Evening! Mom, Dad, Chloe, and I returned from Pike County, KY a few hours ago. We had a great day at Blackberry Elementary. I have lots of pictures to post and I can't wait to tell you all about our day! We returned home just in time to see one of our favorite shows - American Idol. Everyone knows how Chloe and I love to sing. It is so much fun to hear the contestant's songs each week. Mommy even lets Chloe and me vote for one person each week. It is a secret who we vote for, so "mums" the word!!!

Our friend, Mrs. Kay sent Mommy this picture. It is of Mommy, Mrs. Kay, and Chaz. Mrs. Kay and Mommy taught school together at Southwest Elementary. Chaz was one of their students. In fact, Mommy had Chaz in music class. He is graduating this year. Mom is so proud of Chaz and his accomplishments. Anyway, we thought you might like to see this picture. It is fun for Chloe and me to imagine Mommy as a music teacher.

I better go. Traveling home from Pike County made us tired. It is time for bed. I will write again tomorrow and tell you all about Blackberry Elementary!

Sleep tight! Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!
