TAILS from Louisa

Kentucky Greetings, WoodyWatchers! We hope this finds you having a super day! Chloe and I had a great time this past week! We were in beautiful Lawrence County, Kentucky. Lawrence County is in the very eastern part of our state. We spent the day and evening at Louisa East Elementary. We had a blast meeting so many new faces and learning all about the county. In fact, after school we spent some time sight seeing and sniffing around. We went to Yatesville State Park. It was gorgeous. We also went all the way to West Virginia. (Well, it was only a few miles down the road.)

When we returned home, Chloe and I had so many emails like this one:

We love you Woody!!! Thanks for visiting our school!! Please come and see us again!!

Love,

Mrs. McClanahan’s 4th grade classroom!!

Don't worry, Mrs. McClanahan's Class, we can't wait to return! In fact, Mom and Dad said we were going to visit Louisa again this summer so we can go camping. I can taste the S'mores right now! YUM!

I better run. It is a beautiful day and we are going to spend some time outdoors chasing butterflies and picking dandelions!

Have a great day! Remember to Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

A Saturday Morning in Shepherdsville

Good Morning, WoodyWatchers! We hope you are having a great Saturday morning! Chloe and I woke up extra early today. We wanted to get our chores finished so we could watch "The Ugly Dachshund." It is one of our very favorite movies. We were so excited when Mom said it was going to be on the Hallmark Channel this morning. Chloe and I have been laughing our TAILS off! It is so funny! If you haven't seen it, you should try to check it out from your local library!

The four of us had a super week traveling all across the state. We were in my birthplace of Paducah at the beginning of the week before traveling to Lily, KY. In Lily, we spent the day at Hunter Hills Elementary. It was a blast! For one thing, we were able to see our good friend Olivia House and her dad, Silas House. Silas House is one of Mom's very favorite authors of all. Olivia and Mr. House gave us a bag of treats. I am still carrying my dog bone around!

We left Lily on Thursday so we could be with Ms. Key's class at Morningside in Elizabethtown. Ms. Key's class won the Hardin County Newspaper in Education Penny Drive, so we wanted to congratulate them. We took pictures, answered questions, and even ate some cookies together! It was a fun way to end a terrific week!

I can't believe the school year is coming to a close. We still have several school visits before the end of May and we are happy about that! This coming week we will be in Richmond as well as Louisa. We have never been to Louisa so we are excited to say the least!

I better go. Chloe just said the commercials were over. I don't want to miss any of my movie! Have a great day! Stay safe this weekend and Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers! We hope you had a great day! Chloe and I greeted Mom with a sloppy puppy dog kiss this morning! It put a big smile on her face!

I can't believe it has been two weeks since I have written in my diary! It seems like the days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into months. It must be true about "time flying when you are having fun." We sure had fun this past week. We spent a few days in Eastern KY. On Thursday we were at Feds Creek Elementary in Pike County. We were only a few miles from the Virginia border. We made so many new friends, as well as saw some of our good buddies like Jordan and John. It is always great to see familiar faces.

Speaking of familiar faces, on Friday, we saw our friends from Horse Creek. They put on a play called "My New Kentucky Home" based on TAILS from the Bluegrass. It was a fantastic performance. They even wrote a song. Chloe and I have been singing it for two days!

I better sign off for now. It is almost supper time. We ate lunch with our Mamaw in Bardstown today for Mother's Day. Tomorrow we will head to Paducah to be with our Granny. I always enjoy a visit at my birthplace!

Have a great night! Give your Mama a kiss, tell her you love her, and Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!
