A day with my Cousins!

Hi Friends! Chloe and I have been taking a Sunday afternoon nap today. It is rainy outside, and rain makes us so very sleepy! I wanted to take the time to show you some pictures. This past Thursday, Mommy, Daddy, Chloe, and I spent some time at Clark Elementary in Paducah. As you know, Paducah is my birthplace, and it is also home to some of our family - like our granny and cousins. Chloe and I always love spending time with Cousin Caroline and Cousin Patrick. Everyone is always telling me how Caroline and I look so much alike. Anyway, we wanted to visit Caroline before she and her friends leave Clark and go to the middle school. I can't believe she is old enough to be in middle school. We took the class some sugar cookies (my favorite) shaped like dog bones. Talk about yummy! Anyway, Caroline has the friendliest classmates and the prettiest teacher named Ms. Bowland!

We can't forget about Cousin Patrick. We had a great time in his class too. The second picture is of Patrick. As you can see, he was happy to see Chloe and me. We promised Patrick when he was in the fifth grade, we would take his class dog bone cookies too!

We will try to put all the pictures on the photo page soon! I better go. We have so much to get done. We will be in Pikeville the first part of the week. I am looking forward to learning more about the Hatfields and McCoys. When I was on the "TAILS from the Bluegrass" tour, I learned that people in Pikeville love to drink Pepsi-Cola. Try saying that 5 times!

Have a great week! Remember to Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

A Taste of Kentucky

Kentucky Greetings! Hope you all have had a great day! Chloe and I are finishing up our bedtime snack. Mommy let us eat a PUPtart tonight! YUMMY! Anyway, we wanted to tell you about the book signing we had earlier this evening at A Taste of Kentucky in Louisville. It was too fun. The best part was seeing all of our friends. The first picture is of our friend, Ms. Vikki. We met Ms. Vikki at A Taste of Kentucky a few years ago. She is Tobey-Scarlett's mommy. Let me just say that Tobey-Scarlett is so pretty! She even wears bows in her hair!

The second photo is of Jinx, Eloise, and Tramp's mommy. Her name is Ms. Connie. We had never met Ms. Connie, but Jinx, Eloise, and Tramp email us from time to time. They are so funny and make Chloe and me laugh!

Finally is a photo of our new friend Ms. Angela. She has a wiener dog named Snicklefritz. Isn't that a sophisticated name? She brought pictures of Snicklefritz for us to see.

As you can see, we saw so many people. There wasn't even time for Chloe to shop, and you know how girls love to shop in the mall. After she saw Tobey-Scarlett's bows, she wanted to buy a few bows for herself. Mommy said her hair was too short though.

I better go. It is almost time for our bedtime story, then off to bed. We are going to be in Paducah tomorrow at Clark Elementary with our cousins Caroline and Patrick. We can't wait to see them. It is a long drive though, so I better get some rest.

Have a great night! Sweet Dreams! Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

Mommy's Hometown of Murray!

Kentucky Greetings, WoodyWatchers! Hope you have had a great day! Mom, Dad, Chloe, and I spent the day working at home. We are getting ready for "TAILS of the Bluegrass - Part II." Therefore, we have been thinking of places we can go, studying the map, and making plans. We are so excited. I can hardly wait!

Speaking of places in Kentucky, we were in one of our most favorite towns this past Tuesday - Murray, Kentucky. "Why is Murray one of our favorites?" you ask. Well, for one thing, it is Mommy's birthplace. Mommy was born and raised in Murray. She always loves getting home to see so many of her friends.

The newspaper in Murray - "The Murray Ledger and Times" invited us to spend the day with the students of North Calloway, Southwest Calloway, and Murray Elementary. The four of us stayed on the campus of Murray State University (the place where Mom went to college) and the students came from school to see us. Talk about fun!!! All of the students were so very friendly and respectful. Chloe and I loved all the hugs and kisses we received from everyone. They had kept up with our newspaper articles and it was neat to hear their comments. Needless to say, we took lots of photos. We will put them on the photo page soon, but here is a few you can see now.

The first photo is with the students from North and Southwest. They were in the hall of the Curris Center waiting for my "PAW-graph!" The second photo is of Mommy and Mrs. Reita Robinson. When Mommy taught music at Southwest, she taught with Mrs. Robinson. She loved seeing her friends like Mrs. Robinson and all the other teachers from Southwest. The next photo is of the publisher and staff of the Murray Ledger and Times, and the last photo is of the students at Murray Elementary. The teacher in the photo is Mrs. Marcy Back. Mommy and Mrs. Back went to high school and college together. As you can imagine, it was like a homecoming for Mommy.

We want to say a big thank you to the newspaper and all the students and teachers for a great day! We will never forget it!

I better go. It is almost dinner time. I am starving. Mommy is making my favorite - chicken and dumplings. She said if I ate all my dinner, I could have a PUPsicle for dessert! YUMMY!

Have a great day. I will blog again in a few days. In the meantime, WORK AND DREAM LIKE A BIG DOG!

Happy Easter!

"Here Comes Peter Cottontail
Hopping Down the Bunny Trail.
Hippety, Hoppety, Easter..."

Happy Easter, WoodyWatchers! Hope you are having a great week! Isn't spring time beautiful? We love the colors of the flowers, the birds chirping, and especially all those dandelions. We think it is fun to blow all of the fuzz of those flowers! Achoo!!!

This past week was so exciting for us! We were with our wonderful friends at Harrison Elementary in Lexington, KY! Chloe and I can't bark enough about it. We love all the students, staff, and especially the principal, Ms. Wiles. She has a dog named Lexie. She loves Lexie, the students at Harrison, and us! She even let us play in her office! We were very careful to not mess up any of her important papers - and even more careful NOT to have an accident!!!

Anyway, the Harrison students were getting ready to begin their important tests this week. We know they are going to do great! Good Luck, Harrison!

I better go. Chloe is hiding Easter eggs and it is my turn to find them! Have a great day! Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

An afternoon with our Cousin

Good Morning, WoodyWatchers! It is early Thursday morning. In fact, most of you are probably still sleeping this morning! We are up early because we are going to the Graves County Public Library to be with our friends. It is a long drive so Mommy and Daddy had to wake us up before it was even daylight!!! That's okay - it will be worth it! Besides, Chloe and I can sleep while Daddy drives!

We had a super day on Tuesday. Since it is spring break most places here in Kentucky, we had the opportunity to visit our friends. We spent Tuesday morning with a group of kids in LaRue County. It was fun to play with them. After that, Mommy, Daddy, Chloe, and I went to Cox's Creek Elementary in Nelson County. We wanted to see our Cousin Amanda and all the students in her class. Amanda used to work with us before she became a teacher. She has been reading our books to her students, so we wanted to go make a proper introduction. All of the students were so friendly. We felt right at home! Here are a few pictures we knew you would enjoy!

I better go. Daddy just said I only had a few minutes before we had to be in the Woody Bus! Have a great day! Work and Dream like a BIG DOG!

Where have we been?

Hello WoodyWatchers! Sorry Chloe and I have been strangers lately. Our Woody Bus has traveled so many miles in the past few weeks. I haven't had the time to write lately. I received an email that said, "Woody, where have you been?" I told Chloe and I better BLOG soon!

Did everyone have a Happy April Fool's Day? Did you play any tricks? Chloe thought it would be funny to put cat food in my bowl for breakfast. I only ate a few bites before realizing it was different. Honestly, it wasn't too bad - pretty tasty. I was afraid I was going to start meowing though. So far, so good!!!

Since we last wrote, we have been in Henderson, Crab Orchard, my birthplace of Paducah, and Hopkinsville. We were in so many great schools. I posted a few photos so you could see.

The first two photos are from Pembroke Elementary in Christian County. You can hardly see Chloe and me in the first picture since everyone is trying to see how soft our fur is. The second photo is with a group of first graders. Chloe and I spent a few minutes with them. They asked the best questions!!!

The last photo is from Crab Orchard Elementary in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Ms. Mingo, the librarian, had the neatest Clifford doghouse. Well, we all know how much Chloe LOVES Clifford. My sister couldn't wait to check it out. She is hoping the Easter Bunny will bring her one just like it! We told Mom and Dad that we could hide in our Clifford doghouse when she ran the vacuum cleaner!

I better say goodnight. It is almost time for bed. Chloe is picking out a bedtime story and my tummy is telling me I need a bedtime snack. I may even see if Dolly (my kitty sister) will share some Meow Mix! Hee Hee!

Sleep tight, WoodyWatchers. Even in your dreams, remember to WORK AND DREAM LIKE A BIG DOG!
